VMware shifts from Aria to VCF Branding

by Mayank Goyal · 26 Dec 2024

As announced during the VMware Explore 2024 events, Broadcom has made the decision to discontinue the Aria branding, which was still in its early stages of adoption. Users were just beginning to familiarize themselves with the tools under the Aria nomenclature. However, following the acquisition, a different path has been chosen. You would notice that even other products are shuffled and recategorized. Read more about it in this blog VMware End Of Availability of Perpetual Licensing and SaaS Services – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Blog

Let’s see the new nomenclature for the VMware toolsets, of which I am also acquiring knowledge in the process. I am sure, this list will grow over time.

From my sources, I can tell that VCF Automation 9 will launch probably around end of Q1-2025 with lots of new features, more will unfold later.
